Welcome to The Ribbon Online, a website inspired by The Ribbon Newsletter, created to provide information for caregivers dealing with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
The Ribbon Newsletter began in January, 1998 and has quickly become an invaluable source of information and support. New issues are published about every two weeks.
Our teal colored ribbon was chosen to help raise awareness for AD. Many people believe Alzheimer's is a "normal" part of aging, and happens to everyone. This kind of thinking can keep us from getting more research and help for our loved ones with AD.
The Ribbon symbolizes the connection we feel, the way we are all woven together in our common fight against this illness. We encourage you to contribute to The Ribbon and thank you for your kind words of support.
It is our hope that the burden of those dealing with AD will be lessened by the sharing of information and support from others who truly understand.
